Our team

"For an Active citizenship, Inclusion and Development: AID refugees and immigrants” or as a short name, “AID immigrants and refugees” is an Erasmus+ Project shared by four secondary schools from Palamós (Catalonia/Spain), Rheda-Wiedenbrück (Germany), Strömsund (Sweden) and Buzau (Romania), two primary schools from Larnaca (Cyprus) and Chios (Greece), and one Teachers' Training Centre from Caldas da Rainha (Portugal).

Our project

The project “AID immigrants and refugees” undertakes the difficult work of trying to cope with a large spectrum of needs of both the immigrant and refugee students and their families on one hand and the local people on the other.

The main objective is to bring the people together, combine their needs and find solutions, accept one another and involve all parts in actively participating in the society.

Publications for Saint George's Day

April 22, 2018

Today is Saint George day, a special date in Catalonia. Today, in Catalonia, is 'the rose and the book' day; a date with a great tradition, an important symbolic load of the Catalan people and, above all, a date to commemorate the culture and letters of a society.

Therefore, today we are pleased to present two publications resulting from our project:

  • The research "The school policies and practices that promote inclusion of students with migrant background"; an interesting academic study conducted by professors Stella ELIADOU, Martha KOULENTI & Josep Antoni BLASCO, on policies and practices in the inclusion of immigrants in different countries of the European Union: https://www.refugees-immigrants.com/the-study-publication

Happy Saint George's Day; Happy day of Catalan culture and literature!
